Shafi Shafat is the President of the Somali American Chamber of Commerce, bringing over 30 years of experience in international sourcing and supply chain management. His career spans executive roles, including Senior Relationship Director at Fyda Freightliner, where he led strategic growth initiatives.
As the founder and CEO of Dalmar TV USA in Columbus, Ohio, Shafi has demonstrated a strong commitment to community engagement, building a vital media platform that serves and unites the Somali diaspora.
Known for his strategic leadership and dedication to community development, Shafi tackles challenges like crime, economic hardship, and social division with a focus on long-term solutions. His efforts consistently promote collaboration, economic growth, and cultural pride within the Somali American community.

With more than 20 years of experience in information technology, Liban Gurhan has a proven track record in network and security analysis having worked with numerous private and government agencies. He currently contributes as an Infrastructure Engineer at Channel Inc. leveraging his technical expertise to advance the chamber’s mission.

Mr Haile has a robust background in project management, financial services, and IT consulting, he is dedicated to fostering community growth and development. His expertise lies in cultivating strategic partnerships, organizing impactful events, and spearheading community engagement initiatives. Passionate about advocacy and community development, he works to enhance the visibility and influence of Somali American businesses within the broader economic landscape.
